Some publications on the sea breeze in Greece
1) In 1984 the Hellenic National Meteorological Service printed the:
PROJECT 1.4 Analysis of the airfield in Athens.
* Chapter 3 is: The pure sea breeze in Athens major region (by N. Prezerakos).
It is based on the observations on the 6 existing meteo stations of the area.
In 30 pages it describes the statistics of the sea breeze, the horizontal and the vertical characteristics of the flow.
* Chapter 2 is: Etesian winds over Athens (by A. Kakouros).
It considers three types of etesian (meltemi) wind. The type denoted as C is etesian wind interrupted by sea breeze during the day.
These are the sea breeze front days.
